Mercury International gives SWASAL $5,820 for Leone Stars Vs Tunisia 2013 Nations Cup Qualifying Match in Monastir, Tunisia
The Executive of the Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone (SWASAL) wishes to inform the general membership and the public at large that it has on Thursday 4th October 2012, received the sum of US$5,820 from Sierra Leone’s biggest sports betting and lottery company Mercury International (SL) Limited.
The money is to purchase air tickets; pay for accommodation; internal transportation; scratch cards for daily updates and live radio commentary; per diem etc., in order to enable members provide full coverage of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final round second leg qualifying match between the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia and Leone Stars on 13th October 2012, in Monastir, Tunisia.
The coverage includes live radio commentary of the match across Sierra Leone, and regular updates for the local newspapers.
SWASAL wishes to thank the Mercury Int.’l (SL) Ltd. Board Chairman Mr. Samir Hassanyeh; Executive Director Mr. Martin Michael, and the entire management and staff for supporting the association and ensuring Leone Stars’ home and away matches are brought to the door steps of every Sierra Leonean live via radio commentary.
Meanwhile, the SWASAL Executive has unanimously selected the President Mohamed Fajah Barrie and Alhaji Komba of the Politico newspaper to accompany Leone Stars to Tunisia.
