Head of the People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC). Charles Francis Margai, has told the Freetown Media that there is no reason for Sierra Leone as a country to be poor.  He made this revelation on Friday 11th December 2009 while addressing hundreds of his supporters at a street carnival held at the part’s headquarters at Prince Street in Freetown.

The PMDC leader said the Country is endowed with natural resources and that if properly utilized will squarely address the development needs of the people. He noted though that the country needs sound leadership that has the people at heart, a leader that will seek the interest of the ordinary citizens especially youth, women, and children whilst establishing the fact that all the leaders and parties have failed and the country must thus look forward for change.

Charles Magai said PMDC stands for such positive change that is bound to catapult the country’s development from the dull drums of what it is today adding that the PMDC as a party will continue to work for the betterment of the people. Charles Magai urged the members to be committed to the ideals of the party’s positive change ideal which he said can only be achieved by the party when they take the leadership rule of the country; calling on members of the party to be united and work towards the development of the party.

Infact,I would want to assume that Margai is more incontinent of emotion than any other leader Sierra Leone has ever had.He believes his family name”Margai”is more synonymous with decision-making in Sierra Leone than any other.Trust me,he is never this leader Sierra Leone needs for progress
