Mother Accused of Killing Son
Reports say Kai Dumbuya, mother of four years old Abdul Bangura was beaten last week Thursday by nurses attached at Ola During Princess Child Maternal Healthcare Centre (PCMH) Cottage, following accusations that her negligence contributed to the demise of her four year old child.
Speaking to Sierra Express Media, the mother of the deceased said her son was left in the care of her sister Adama at Dorzak because her now husband, stepfather to the late boy, is opposed to the idea of having the kid in their presence as he kept insisting the kid should be entrusted to his biological father.
Police Constable Mary attached at the Eastern Police Division in Freetown intimated to Sierra Express on the issue that the accused Kai Dumbuya was manhandled and beaten by nurses at the PCMH Cottage on the condition that she played negligence with the health of her own kid. Police Constable Edison B. Tucker of the same Police Division told Sierra Express Media that, investigations are ongoing as the said aunty Adama Sesay’s statement has been obtained. He said the preliminary findings of the cause of death have it that the four year old was dosed with native herbs which got effect on his genital organ, mouth and stomach.
