Man Killed Over Cigarette Wahala
Police at the Kissy Police Division are currently investigating the alleged murder of one Sulaiman Mansaray who lost his life on April 21st 2012 following a cigarette brawl he had with his customer, the accused person at Wellington’s Mellon Street, east of the capital Freetown.
According to police report, Sulaiman Mansaray was involved in a bitter argument with a lady named Saffie Kargbo, the principal accused person over the deceased’s refusal to buy cigarettes from her, being her usual customer, on the deceased’s claims to have quit his smoking habit.
Sources said the Sulaiman Mansaray lost his life in an ensuing fist fight involving Saffie’s five sons who descended heavily on the deceased over claims that he insulted their mother he was stabbed with a knife on his chest, and bled to death.
Wife of the deceased moreover told Sierra Express Media that she came to only discover her husband’s body in a pool of blood. “What I did was that I rushed to the Wellington Police Division to call on the attention of the police for a possible intervention” the wife stated. She said the police’s arrival on the scene was too late as the suspects had fled the scene.
The police however, took the human remains of Sulaiman Mansaray to the Connaught hospital for postmortem which were later handed over to his family members for funeral rites.
