Speaking on the projects, Sara Bachdtrom, social worker from Finland, said the projects are geared toward enhancing girl child education, women and youth empowerment, cultural exchange programmes and peace building through art.

She added that the projects would also focus on building an educational center for women and girls in Freetown.

In her contribution, she mentioned the establishment of a female radio station in the country, a Sierra Leone-Finland cultural centre to be established at the Kent Beach with the objective to bridge the culture gap between the two countries.

The Coordinator of RIPSTA, a working partner organization in Sierra Leone, Emmanuel H. A Kabia dilated on the relationship between the two organizations and assured that the two will work together to promote tourism and culture in Sierra Leone.
