Over Usu Boie’s Silence…SLPP Frustrated
The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) stands accused of being jittery and frustrated over the fact that former Presidential flag bearer aspirant Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara has chosen to remain calm and silent over his political future.
The SLPP is oblivious of the fact that their letter of expulsion is of no moment as Usu Boie has long ceased his participation in their activities before their expelling bound.
Speaking to a cross section of Usu Boie loyalists they said it was embarrassing to see the SLPP engross in acts of blackmail as no amount of bashing is enough to return the members that have left the party on good reasons of tribal discrimination and separatist ideologies.
One of the women leaders was heard to say that the SLPP can do nothing to bring Mr. Usman Boie Kamara’s image down adding that as loyalists, wherever Usu Boie goes they go with him.
Usu Boie sees reasons to sit by and according to one of his relatives he has always respected the SLPP that he restrainted himself from saying nothing against them. He maintains that as family members they see the singular action of the party to unanimously cow a decision in conspiracy against Usu Boie speaks volume of the fact that there are enemies within the party who never wanted to see Usu Boie succeed in his political aspirations.
Mr. Boie is quoted as saying in some quarters that he actually joined the SLPP upon his belief that the party is embedded with solid rocks of a shared vision that is seeking unison for all Sierra Leoneans. Usu Boie is also quoted as saying that by the same token of one country one people, phraseology he is duty bound to serve the country in whatever capacity he is capable of finding himself.
