Three Months Imprisonment for Mobile Phone Thief – Sahr Moseray who was charged for stealing a mobile phone has been sentenced to serve a three months imprisonment at the Pademba Road Maximum prisons.

Magistrate Steven Conteh of Court No.1 made his ruling on Tuesday following a plea of guilt by the accused person to the charge for the offence of Larceny contrary to Section 14 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

It was alleged that the accused, Sahr Moseray on Thursday 8^th March this year at Peterson Sstreet in the Freetown Judicial District in the Western area stole Mohamed Conteh’s Samsung Galaxy mobile phone valued at the sum of  Le800,000.

MOVE-SL Dialogues on Women – A local Non Governmental Organisation, Movement Opposed to Violence and Exclusion (MOVE-SL) on Saturday 14^th April concluded a two day community dialogue forum on gender issue and women’s participation in Politics and Economic Development program in the Noma and Niawa Chiefdoms.

Program Coordinator, John Lebbie, said for far too long, women are being marginalized in decision making processes in the country.

PMDC Warns Minister  – Alex Jinnah Bockarie, a member of the National Media Wing of the Peoples Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) has accused the Deputy Minister of Political Affairs Mohamed Benson Suwu of making provocative public statements against the Chairman Leader of the party Charles F Margai. He warned the Deputy Minister to desist from making derogatory statements against Margai.

Health Minister warns Health Workers – Minister of Health and Sanitation, Haja Zainab Hawa Bangura has promised to strike off the names of health workers who are defiling their posting orders off the Government’s pay roll.

Her position statement came as response to the complaints filed in by the District Medical Officers, Matrons, Measurement and Evolution Officers, Information and Communication Sspecialists and District Logistic Officers on the subject that health workers are defiling their posting orders.
