Save Salman Jalloh’s life

It could be recalled that October 2009 marks the launching of the War Victim’s Fund by President Koroma upon the backdrop of restoring the health and dignity of victims who suffered most the brunt of the eleven year civil war.

Salman Jalloh a victim and a hero that survived seven bullets he sustained during the war, today stands at the mercy of those who are responsible to protect him.

The Outreach Department of National Action for Social Action has always consolidated that the Victims Fund was established to work in consonant with the Attitudinal and Behavioral Change and this change would be the one to restoring and sustaining lives and dignity of war victims.

Salman Jalloh like other war victims is lodged with seven bullets in his back. When he went to see the Medical Consultant for the War Victims Fund, Dr. T B Kamara, he turned him on the basis that the project owes him a substantial Le700 million, being money he should earn having serviced a huge number of them.  Dr. TB Kamara is supposed to treat, diagnose and recommend patients for further treatment abroad or with other doctors locally.  He has now withheld his services due to the said deficit owed him.

The situation of this man is pathetic, though we cannot open a trust fund on his behalf but we are asking that those with special facilities to help save his life do so. He is currently residing at the United Brothers and Sisters Polio Camp, Lower Parsonage Street, Kissy and can be reached on +232 76 992 726.
