NaCSA Gets 25 Million Dollars

The National Commission for Social Action, NaCSA, has received up to 25 million dollars as financial support to continue its mandate and work.

The money is part of the recently released World Bank funding given out to the government of President Ernest Bai Koroma as a result of confidence the Bretton Woods group has for the present administration.

NACSA receives a significant amount of the money because of its sound fiscal history, and for its role  especially in areas of youth employment.

More than 60,000 young people are expected to benefit from this  financial support while  31,000 people will be direct beneficiaries from the  “cash for work programme”.

The World Bank Country Programme Coordinator for West Africa, Mr. Sergiy Kulyk, signing on behalf of the Bank praised the government of President Koroma for their hard work.
