Strasser who will be 22 in March sustained his injuring playing against Juventus January 9 2012 for Lecce in the Italian Seria A but is expected to be back in mid March if all goes well with his rehabilitation.

Talking to Sierra  Express Media – “As I have always said, I am happy to be here in Milan, I have been here long enough and I know the ins and outs of this exciting club.  Milan want me and I am ready to challenge for space, but first I will prefer to be 100% fit .  I’m always ready to do my best with Milan,” he said.

He added, “I have came through the youth ranks to senior team, so I am confident to say the day to day activities in Milan are not new to me.”

Strasser is not the only young player recently called up by Milan. another youth product is Alexander Merkel from Genoa. Both players gave a stellar performance in their away loan spell especially playing against Juventus.

Milan fans are excited about the future and hope that the Rossoneri can get strength in depth in midfield as soon as possible.

However, in 6 games for Genoa, Merkel has already ranked up 2 best assists and was a very important player for them, while Strasser in seven appearances with Lecce accounted for one goal.
