Diaspora Voting

The Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in the United States of America wishes to inform Sierra Leoneans residing in North America and Canada, that voter registration has commenced in Sierra Leone.

Those wishing to participate are advised to go to Sierra Leone and be part of the process, because there is no available facility outside the jurisdiction of the country that will enable them to register.

Similarly, those wishing to vote in the November elections, should ensure that they register now with the National Electoral Commissions (NEC) to enable them to get a voter identity card that will make them eligible to vote in Sierra Leone.

There is no available voting facility outside the jurisdiction of Sierra Leone.

The Voter Registration started in Sierra Leone on January 23^rd 2012: it will end on March 26^th, 2012.
