He said that he has exclusively chosen Port- Loko as the District his running mate should come from because it is his intention having a regionally balanced system of leadership.

“I decided to appoint Dr. Kadi Sesay as my running mate owing to a number of reasons,” Bio said. “She is a woman of substance. She has an unsoiled political record, and it has always been my desire to see women take part in the process of governance.”

“I have also selected her because I want to prove to Sierra Leonean women that it is my desire having them enjoy the 30% quota they’ve been asking for.”

He assured the people of Port-Loko that if he is elected as President of Sierra Leone, he will abidingly look into the concerns of the district.

Speakers, who made statement on behalf of their organizations, praised Bio’s appointment of Kadi Sesay as running mate.

“For this sake, Port-Loko District will heartedly support the SLPP come 2012, the SLPP regional chairman said.”

The meeting also witnessed the exhibition of respective artistic/cultural activities along the streets of Port-Loko nay cheering on Bio and Kadi as the best of the best.

“Dr. Kadi Sesay is a daughter of Port- Loko soil,” a jubilant supporter said. “We are behind her and we will give her our hearty support at all times.”
