Plan Sierra Leone to end child poverty
Country Director of Plan Sierra Leone, Mr. Augustine Allieu, has revealed plans to help combat the high rate of poverty against children in Sierra Leone.
In a ‘one on one chart’ with our reporter, Augustine Allieu Monday 22nd said poverty is lack of basic necessities of life such as, food, clothing, shelter and health facilities.
And that education is one of the means to end child poverty. He said to end child such a menace, there must be strategies that will reduce household poverty in our society.
That in doing so efforts must be directed at the mothers who are the principal care givers in many households.
He said further that skills training activities has to be put in place for parents.
“We will teach them simple business management techniques, so that they can start a self owned small or medium scale business enterprise,”Augustine Allieu said.
