Thousands welcome Usman Boie as he gives thanks for their support
The unremitting silence of Usman Boie reaches it end soon after his arrival in Kenema and Bo Friday 19th and Saturday 20th to talk to thousands of supporters, who in diverse ways joined him at polls in the just concluded Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Presidential elections.
Around 5 pm Friday 19th, Usman Boie attended the Kenema Central Mosque where he joined thousands of Muslim compatriots for the evening prayer.
He was greeted with respect, extolled for his contributions towards the development of the mosque and more importantly his love for humanity.
At 10 am on Saturday 20th he was at the SLPP regional office in Kenema where he gleefully and in smiling countenance thanked the thousands or more party supporters for their prop up solidarity for him before and during the SLPP Presidential flag bearer election.
“I am currently giving tribute to the sacred month of Ramadan and will practically not make any political statement at yet, but will take the opportunity to invite you to Freetown on the 4th September when I shall be making my speech and state my political position,” Usman Boie said.
His Kenema visit illustrates the fact that he is truly a leader and worthwhile politician whose courage to see Sierra Leone develop is unavoidably apparent.
Just about 1pm, he was also in Bo where he eventually addressed an enormous get together of big and small SLPP supporters at the party’s Bo regional office.
Hours before Usman Boie’s arrival, some thousands of eagerly waiting SLPP supporters were reportedly converged at their party office to respectfully salute the coming of whom they slogan ‘a courageous political knight in shining armor.’
The visit, according to our Bo & Kenema correspondent, was one of a kind and has sparked debate in the minds of the electorates in that part of Sierra Leone.
Since then, up until past Friday and Saturday respectively, the visit of Usman Boie has left lips of SLPP supporters, including top executive officers, in a trembling and unsuspecting manner, wary of not losing such a popular politician at all.

Osman Boie was warned before but he thinks money is everything. now he is licking his wounds in the presence of those that inflicted it on him. All is a game of hypocrisy and dirty regional politics they have played on him. It was said before by the so called top SLpp elites. No more northern person will take over or lead their party even a dog will be voted for aginst a northerner and it has been proven. a word for the wise is quite sufficient, those who have ears to hear, will hear lonta.

To Test his popularity he should go to the Northern district and see the receptions he gets in those places then we would know he would have been a better candidate that Bio. The Southeast is not the problem it is the north that the SLPP needs a popular candidate from. I think only Lawyer Abdullah Timbo can be looked on as that person with potentials to get the northerners on boards. Osman’ Bio popularity is in the south and East which is also the popular base for Bio. You can not have two numbers nine in a football team. We need a winger and that is Timbo
