Usman Boie speaks to the nation
Let me first thank the Almighty God for helping the SLPP and the leadership in steering a successful convention despite the many hiccups in the past few months.
To our newly elected flag bearer, Rtd. Brigadier Julius Madda Bio, I say congratulations to you and wish you well in the struggle to lead the SLPP to victory in 2012.
To the other aspirants, I say congratulations to you too for your part in this democratic exercise.
To my campaign team and supporters, a special thank you for your hard work and dedication in spreading the word of Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are a great team and I am proud of you.
Finally, I want to express my gratitude to my dear wife and family for their unflinching support and sacrifice along this journey.
I am asking everyone who would have liked to see me win as flag bearer, please be calm, cheerful and still give gratitude to God.
I wish the SLPP, Sierra Leoneans and everyone around the world a blessed Ramadan.
