10 vehicles, money, appropriated at SLBC
Following recent antipathy by staff of the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), it has reached this press that 10 vehicles belonging to the corporation were unscrupulously sold and the proceeds put into the pockets of individuals.
It is disclosed that a total of about 10 vehicles (property of the SLBC) were discovered sold by Daniel Moseray of ‘We Yus’ fame and proceeds shared between him and the Director General, Mr. Gbanagbome Hallowell.
It could be recalled that staff of SLBC were into strike action in disapproval of what they called ‘unfair recruitment’ by management and board of the SLBC.
Allegations surrounding the protest hinge on the dismissals of the likes of Daniel Moseray, Albert Momoh, and Bamidele etc.
Findings by this press disclose however that Albert Momoh and Raymond Bamidele Johnson appropriated monies generated during the SLBC ‘u sabi dance’ and the annual end of year SLBC dance respectively.
That Albert Momoh is allegedly accused of swindling hundreds of millions generated during the usual annual SLBC dance.
It is acknowledged also that Raymond Bamidele Johnson appropriated monies gainfully obtained throughout the ‘u sabi dance’ competition.
To this, we are told, came the decision by board members of SLBC to terminate contractual agreement of Daniel Moseray, Albert Momoh and Raymond Bamidele Johnson.
Investigation revealed that Daniel Moseray was asked to explain reasons leading to the sale of 10 SLBC vehicles by board, but said he did so upon the instruction of the Director General Mr. Gbanagbome Hallowell.
When called upon, the SLBC Director General denied ordering Daniel Moseray to sell vehicles owned by the corporation.
In his path, the SLBC board Chairman, Prof. Septimus Moiwo Kaikai, affirmatively confirmed to this press that President Koroma has ordered the investigation of the selling of unknown number of SLBC vehicles and the alleged appropriation monies by Albert Momoh and Raymond Bamidele and others.
Efforts to have comments from Daniel Moseray apparently proved futile.
