As the opposition SLPP put measures in place for the 2011 National Convention set to take place in Freetown, female politician, Madam Fatmata Sawaneh has declared for the desirable Deputy National Women’s Leadership position.
Making her declaration Friday 3rd, at the Stop Press Restaurant, George Street, Freetown, the somehow ambitious, determined and focused female politician said that her main reason for eyeing the SLPP Deputy Women’s Leadership position is to restore peace, efficiency, respectability and a brighter future for the party and Sierra Leone in general.
Madam Fatmata maintained that her loyalty to the SLPP is unquestionable, as according to her, she has registered with the party since 1996 and has contributed towards its development.
“Apart from losing my previous marital home for the sake of SLPP, the party is also using my family house in Makeni as its northern regional headquarters,” she said.
“I will die for SLPP in view of the fact that the party possesses the virtues and political ideologies that espoused democratic principles.”
Madam Fatmata was born in Kono District in the eastern part Sierra Leone, but was schooled in Makeni. She is a northeastern breed.
She dispels rumors that she was being manipulated by some political bigwigs to run for executive position in the SLPP.
