Egypt domestic league may resume behind closed doors

According to the Egyptian Football Association two rounds of the country domestic league to resume behind closed doors, Chairman Samir Zaher has said, and if this report is anything to go by the Egyptian domestic League could be back up and running in April.

It could be recall that the North African state has been hit with internal crisis since January that forced former President Hosni Mubarak to step down.

Talks from all Egyptian football clubs are fruitful and they have agreed to resume their premier League despite already suffering from pitiless financial problems.

Zaher told Reuters “I suggested that we resume the league activities next month and hold two rounds behind closed doors under certain conditions,”

Hassan Sakr, head of the Egyptian National Sports Council, already meets representatives from all Premier League clubs and discusses the possible resumption of the league.

NSC Boss, Hassan Sakr is expected to send the ruling military council a request to resume the Egyptian Premier League midway through April

However, it still remains to be seen whether the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, would give a green light.
