Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
For some, the festive period is a moment for family reunion, gift giving, and merriment. But for others, the struggle never stops. Sadly, the majority of the young people in Sierra Leone are in the latter category. However, there are people who, despite challenging circumstances, continue to be committed to the fight against the various forms social exclusion that the youth face. A very BIG THANK YOU to all the wonderful people, in Sierra Leone and outside the country, who are making contribution to youth development. (Photo: Unisa Dizo Conteh, President Young Leaders)
We would also like to express our profound thanks and admiration to our colleagues, our partners, and youths all across Sierra Leone and in the Diaspora, who share our passion for youth empowerment and also to enable them participate actively in the development of our country.
We should all pat our backs for the many ways we’ve contributed to youth development over the months in 2010 and in years before that. But our cause does not end yesterday or today. It should continue until we accomplish our dream to see all our young brothers and sisters benefit from an adequate standard of living.
In 2011 and beyond, Young Leaders-Sierra Leone will continue to use our synergy with our colleagues, partners and other stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcome for our youth and our country.
Merry Christmas and have a prosperous New Year.Best wishes Unisa Dizo-Conteh President Young Leaders-Sierra Leone www.ylsl.org
