It was also was reiterated by slfasl.com that the acting General Secretary of SLFA, Abdul Rahman Swarray told sierraleonefootball.com that the executive committee of SLFA, headed by Nahim Khadi, has mandated him to announce that the congress would now take place on the above date.
It is understood that the congress was originally scheduled for November 25-28, 2010 but was postponed to allow the just concluded International Youth Football Tournament (AIYT) won by the Sierra Leone U-20 to go ahead.
According to slfasl.com SLFA General Secretary Swarray said an audited financial report and other documents relating to the congress are now ready and will soon be distributed to stakeholders as mandated by the SLFA constitution.
But football stakeholders are not happy about the venue for the congress as they said Moyamba lacks good hotels to host such a national event. It’s the first time SLFA is organising a congress in that part of the country in the name of regional rotation policy.
