Hadji Christmas gift to Apollon fans

Outstanding Apollon striker, Sierra Leonean star midfielder Mustapha Hadji Bangura was on target for his side in their last league game of 2010 away to AEK at the GSZ Stadium on match day 15 of the Marfin Laiki 2010-11 season.

Hadji opened the score sheet for his side in the 14th minute from a superb finish to send the fans on the rampage at the GSZ, however it ended 2-2 away from home but for the Sierra Leonean it was a perfect Christmas gift to his fans in Apollon, a goal that gave his side a point in a tough away contest.

This is the players fourth goal of the season in as many games, as 15th behind Miljan Mrdakovic with eight goals leading the pack in Apollon goals sheet.

Of course, it was not a brilliant day for Coach Andreas as he was expecting to finish the match with a victory for the travelling Appollonas fans but what seems clear is that the team in order to fulfil its objectives kept a clean sheet.

Many soccer pundits in Apollon see reasons for the squad to be strengthened. Apollon needed to get quality players who can give the team something more. Defensive midfielder, left midfielder and left-back are the three positions that need strengthening.

To get quality players they will have to pay the adequate funding, it is difficult to bring this period, players who’ll make a difference. For this to Apollo, it all depends on the success that made the economic campaign launch in recent days.

Scorer: Mustapha Bangura (14), Jose Semedo (24), Yellow Cards: Antonio Nunez, Eddie Oseni.

Apollonas Team: Chvalovsky, Lopes, Merkis, Neva, Morris, Quinteros, Oseni, Bangura (90 Dominguez), Kosowski (63 Adorno), Nunez, Semedo (88 Mrdacovic
