Three straight for Jarrett’s Imps
Since the arrival of new Lincoln City manager, Steve Tilson the Imps have increased their attitude on the pitch in their recent games with three straight wins, two in the Npower league two in the English premiership. After what looked like a disastrous start of the season for the Imps, Carayol provided two inch-perfect crosses for Ben Hutchinson and Delroy Facey in Saturday’s league encounter against Hereford in front of their home fans at home, and neither passed up the opportunity to head home.
Stuart Fleetwood pulled one back for the Bulls (Hereford) when he followed up Mathieu Manset’s strike. Carayol dashed any hopes of a comeback from Hereford as he blasted home to seal the hosts’ third consecutive win.
The victory is a vital one over relegation rivals, the Imps now climbed to 16th places six points separated them from Macclesfield who lies on 8th position.
They started it all against Nuneaton in the FA cup when goal score by Sierra Leonean Albert Jarrett send them to the next stage of the English FA cup.
The Sierra Leonean was part of it all but again at the weekend when his Imps side thrash the Bulls 3-1 and was substituted by Andersson in the 85min in a well deserved victory past Saturday.
Hereford manager Jamie Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester: “Hopefully this defeat will not be too much of a blow to the players and I hope we will soon have some of our injured players back.
“It is very difficult to carry players of that calibre but hopefully this is a little blip and it won’t happen again.
“We were not at the races full stop today, we weren’t first to the second ball, they didn’t do what we asked them to do and they were really all over the place today.”
