Zingallay BK look set to be relegated

The old football greatness Fredrikstad FK will be back in the Norwegian Tippeligaen after they spring surprise across football stakeholders in Norway by sending a message with a 1-4 win away from home. In no time the visitor’s accounted for three goals before 20 minutes of played.

Match Report

FFK captain took the grip Raio Piirjoja provided his side with an early lead (0-1) after the well-turned free-kick from Alex Valencia in the 5th minute. Piirjoja almost ran the ball in the goal between paralyzed HBK defenders and goalkeeper Thomas Solvoll.

It was 2-0 after a brilliant attack on FFKs right-hand side after 15 minutes of play. Amin Askar poured from all, and struck precise pass along the ground, Celso Borges easily able to place the goal.

Class Differences

FFKs Amin Askar snatched up a bow passing of the “chilling” kind three minutes later and did everything on his own: Run from the HBK-defense, and slammed the ball really hard into the goal from about 16 meters.

It was a class difference in his team’s first 20 minutes. HBK reacted from Kamal Saaliti 28 minutes goal to reduce the deficit, which provided some hope for the home audience.

Saaliti was left completely unmarked after a miss by Vidar Martinsen, scoring at Hønefoss’ first chance in the match.

Hønefoss players had obviously had a real pep talk at half time for the start of the second half was a completely different mindset.

But despite all the pep talk nothing more was achieved the match ended 4-1 against the host team; 2885 spectators saw the afternoon’s qualifying match at Hønefoss, an improvement from 900 to Ranheim last Sunday, but over half of them were dressed in red and white, and cheered at Fredrikstad.

Return leg will be played on Thursday 25 Nov at the Fredrikstad Stadium.
