Sankoh’s Strømsgodset lift Norwegian FA Cup
Sierra Leonean Alfred Sankoh was among the Strømsgodset squad that had a good hold of the final opponent in the Norwegian FA final after they won 2-0 against Follo in the Ullevaal stadium Sunday Nov 14.
Two goals from Kamara and Andersen despite the fog laying thick over the Ullevaal Stadium as Mountain took kick off and started Sunday’s final against Follo.
It seemed like there was some cup nerves in the legs of some players, for it was a bit messy opening match. Follo was dangerous for some quarters of the game, but Ship Hani failed to hit the ball within the box is and the estate got the ball away from the dangerous zone.
The estate eventually took over the game and after 30 minutes to the players and the fans let loose cheers. Joel Riddez wanted to end his career in the best possible manner as he cleverly passed a clean true ball for Kamara who netted on the accurate post, as the latter butted in the measure of delicious ways.
For procedural wild cheers from the stands could captain Aas lift the trophy over his head, Strømsgodset fifth in history? All credit to the guys who fought well throughout the match and it was a fully deserved victory.
Talking to the Leone Stars midfielder, Sankoh pointed out the final day was of course a memorable experience. “We became legends; we took the GOLD for Strømsgodset. It was an incredible atmosphere that made the audience at Ullevaal stadium” he noted.
The blue and white colors, singing scenes, scarves and flags flew, and the choir of more than 10 000 people who roared with their team.
