Immigration CIO’s Vengeance Exposed

Work at the Immigration Department came to a halt Monday minutes after a senior staff of Immigration was denied access to her office.

Investigation by this press disclosed that Veronica Jallah was denied access to Immigration Headquarters due to orders from the Chief Immigration Officer, Kholifa Koroma (in photo).

It is told that Veronica is a 6th grade clerk and an Assistant Immigration officer who has served in that capacity since 2004.

In an interview with Veronica, she disclosed to our reporter that ever since Kholifa Koroma was appointed as head of Immigration she has never enjoyed work at all.

She further revealed how the head of Immigration had threatened to sack the security on duty should he allow her access to the immigration office.

That in her pursuit to gain access scuffled ensued between her and the security on duty.

The scuffle attracted public’s attention and as a result the basement of Immigration office was observed overcrowded.

According to Veronica, quarrel between her and the head of Immigration started months after his appointment.

She disclosed how CIO Kholifa Koroma accused her of relaying information to senior APC officials.

“He accused me of taking his name to APC office and state house. Kholifa has been harassing my life. He has even threatened to sack me,” Veronica said.

Ads: “very recently, I was summoned by the CIO Kholifa Koroma who accused me of not showing up for work; an allegation that was later proved wrong.”

In an interview with the Immigration public relation officer, Abu Bakarr Kabba, he denied having knowledge to allegations from Veronica that the Immigration CIO had accused her of taking his name to the APC.

He however noted that the rift between Veronica and the CIO might be a personnel one.

PRO Abu Bakarr challenged Veronica’s allegation that she is been demoted to third grade and asked her to submit documentary proof.
