Big Corruption at ACC: Le 80 Million Chopped
A discovery of corruption maneuvers by officials of the Anti Corruption Commission says that money to the tune of Le 80 million has been chopped.
Officials charged with the task of providing top up credits for personnel of the ACC are said to have chopped Le 80 million, using the office of the Director of National Anti Corruption Strategy (NAS) as cover up.
Credible information states how the chopped Le 80 million was meant for ‘recharge voucher payment’ for the Director of NAS.
Sources say the appointed ACC big man, Commissioner Kamara, has called for a speedy investigation on the alleged Le 80 million misappropriations.
Facts as gathered reveal how personnel of the ACC, on number of times, have engaged into deep rooted corruption practices but turned round chasing others.
That the Director who was to receive top up credit facilities everyday never received one.
A recharge voucher bill that amounted to Le 80 million was forwarded and paid for; siphoned and puts in pockets of corrupt ACC officials (names withheld).
It could be recalled that on number of occasions, respectable public officials have had themselves investigated and frog matched to court by the ACC on allegations of corruption.
Very recently, Allieu Sesay, his wife and others were made to face counts of criminal charges by the ACC.
Conversely, persons accused of corruption excesses at the ACC must be equally made to face the true wrath of the law.
It has reached this press that escalated budget claims for the repairs of vehicle have been the simple but everyday attitudes of senior officials of the ACC.
Commissioner Kamara, we are told, poised exposing and bringing to book, personnel of the ACC that are proved culpable of corruption involvement.
Although this press is yet to get the version from officials of the ACC, sources say persons accused are uncertain they will get away with it.
