Honefoss BK win 3-1 over Vålerenga
Angan scored twice for Umaru Bangura’s Honefoss side in the Norwegian Tippeligaen today, Sunday 31st October, 2010. That victory means they are presently hanging on to the top flight football next season but they must win their next away game against Sandefjord for any chance to stay in. It was an entertaining game with two attacking teams in battle. Vålerenga took the lead with Abdellaoue’s goal in the 9th minute of play.
Vålerenga reduced even before the break on an own goal after piling pressure, Standberg own goal came 3 minutes after the opening goal.
In the second half Honefoss BK was sometimes pushed hard by Vålerenga, but it was Angan that finally got paid off on one of his chances at the end of the first half after Kamal was torn down the field in the 84th minute, a few minutes later HBK got a penalty, Angan slot in from the spot in the 90th minute.
With today’s results it is clear that HBK must win in their last match to hopefully secure a place in the Tippeligaen.
Meanwhile, Another Sierra Leonean Alfred Sankoh’s Strømsgodset side lost to Tromso away from home 2-1.
