NDA meeting in Georgia, USA attracts potential investors
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) membership in the USA continues to sky-rocket as the party staged their latest meeting in Atlanta, Georgia on 29th October, 2010 which increased the number of new party members two-fold.
The party continues to gather momentum as it criss-crosses the whole of the USA in preparation for the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections in Sierra Leone.
In a prior meeting held in Virginia on October 22nd 2010, the party drew hundreds of new supporters, which was a surprise, but not as much as the recent attention drawn in Atlanta. Sierra Leoneans from all walks of life, regardless of age, gender, or tribe, were in attendance.
Speaking to the party Leader Mr. Alhaji Amadu Jalloh via Skype video call from Virginia, he thanked members for coming out in their grand number, and extended his profound gratitude in the way the NDA party is moving and revitalizing itself here in the USA. Alhaji Jalloh promised that he will not let anything stop the NDA’s party campaign from reaching its summit.
The meeting in the city of Atlanta also drew prospective investors who were interested to listen to the vision of the National Democratic Alliance. Prominent party member, Mr. Mohamed C Bah was happy to introduce Mr. Mike Edwards, an investor from one of the large poultry companies in the USA who shared his ideas on how Sierra Leone could benefit from investments in agricultural farms, not only from an economic and financial viewpoint, but it would also increase the prospects of employment for many.
Sierra Leonean Ibrahim Bah, a field officer for one of the Agricultural departments in Georgia, expressed gratitude on Mr. Edward’s ideas to the development of agriculture in Sierra Leone.
Mr. Bah continued, our country has a wealth of land open to agriculture, if only a good feasibility study can be done to establish the best areas for crops, cattle, poultry, dairy farms, etc., this will be a good backbone to present to potential investors who are interested in boosting agriculture in Sierra Leone.
A conglomeration of speakers in Atlanta took to the podium to talk about change and the way forward in order for Sierra Leone to stand back on its own two feet.
The NDA is certain that when new developments and industry pick up, many Sierra Leoneans will be keen to pack up and return to the sweet Salone they once knew.
Bravo to a new beginning.
