Her Excellency  Rev. Dr  Mrs. Marie  Jilo  Barnett in a bid to fly her country’s flag high, and to promote President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma’s agenda for change  urged her nationals residing in the Republic of Liberia, to embrace themselves in order to showcase Mama Salone as she celebrates her 50th Anniversary.

Ambassador Barnet  over  the  weekend, together  with her staff addressed Sierra Leoneans  at her Congo Town residence in Monrovia.  She used the opportunity to update her nationals about the preparation that is on the pipe line in connection with Sierra Leone’s  50th independence  Anniversary,  come  next  year.

Dr. Barnett however  elaborated on President  Koroma’s message on attitudinal change and the essence of unity in any community.  Past Saturday’s meeting, she said, was firstly to meet with her nationals from all walks of life and to share responsibilities with each and every  Sierra Leonean in Liberia with regards to planned activities of the forthcoming golden jubilee of “ mama  Salone”.

Sierra Leoneans,  under President Dr.  Ernest  Bai  Koroma’s  regime she noted, have  good  reason to jubilate and to celebrate in grand style, citing  achievements made by the APC led government with new initiatives in the pipe line.

Ambassador  Barnett  together  with  H.O.C . Juana  used the opportunity  to call on all  Sierra   Leoneans  residing  in  the  fourteen (14)  counties  of  Liberia to be  law abiding and to use  this opportunity to identify  themselves  with  Mama  Salone.   Contributions were also  made by members of the Sierra  Leone  Community,  Sierra  Leone Progressive  Association  and   Sierra  Leoneans  working  with the United Nations  and the self-employees.
