Guinean arrested with fake passport
A Guinean by the name of Byram Delphine was on the 13th September nabbed at the Lungi International Airport for possession of a Sierra Leonean passport.
In her bid to board the BMI airline for a trip to the UK, Byram Delphine ran out of luck and was netted by officials assigned to the immigration department at Lungi Airport.
Sources say her arrest came as result of the smartness of the profiler who unfailingly was quick to detect that the Guinean national was carrying a doctored passport.
That photo in the passport was observed as being transplanted by unknown criminals.
After her arrest, it was disclosed that Byran Delphine was handed over to the Head of Immigration Lungi Airport for investigation.
The culprit, we are told, was later transferred to the Immigration Headquarters in Freetown for further findings.
Sounding unfortunate was revelations that the Chief Immigration Officer, Alpha Kholifa Koroma later handed over the culprit to Guinean Immigration official for further investigation and punitive measures.
A doubt as to why the lady was not submitted to the police for investigation questioned the action of the head of Immigration Kholifa Koroma, and has raised fingers of suspicions that he may have had knowledge about the doctored passport.
It could be recalled that complaints of fake passport over-indulgences of Immigration officials has always been the day of the day.
Although senior officials of the Immigration Department refuted blame for not handing over Byran Dolphine to the police as far fetched, sources from within ranks of the department say that passport found in the possession of the forenamed Guinean has direct nexus of conspiratorial involvement of officials of the Immigration Department.
Contact made on the Police reveals that the action of the Chief Immigration Officer in the handing over a fraudster without having the police conduct thorough findings was wrong and improper.
As they put it: “had the Immigration boss not had a hand in the creation of the fake passport, there was no way he could have boycotted handing over of the lady to the police for investigation- a very big forgery case.”
This press has received credible information that the Immigration Chief has threatened to report the LUC Lungi Airport to the IG and President Koroma respectively.

Only heaven know what you are really talking about . the paragraph on top is a copy of the article so tell me what you understood out of it . I did not jump in defence of kolifa . my point is we should stop branding people quilty before judgement . You are simply part of the same people am talking about . So I wont waist my time countering your nonsensical comment . My comment is based on the article . I did not write about the sex of this person neither did I condone his or her action . Please my brother or sister as I do not know what sex are you either before we start cursing or defarming our characters let put common understanding in practice. As for the records I do not even know or neither have I ever met this guy called kolifa. “Doctored Passport” . please fellow countrymen can we stop the habit of getting people quilty before trail through the media. When an ID is doctored it simply means it being tampered with in many means necessary to altered it authentication. So now let me use common sense here because am not a lawyer why should Kolifa doctored a passport when he can issues a new one legal or illigal . Like all his predeccessors he is the immigration chief . He has the means ,call it, to bend the rules right. So why will he colaborate to doctored a passport. Sierra Leoneans we have to stop negative raps.No this is a curse. Some people called it pull him down et al .
