Sierra Express Media has been intimated by credible sources that the former Director of Crime Services, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Mohamed Abu Braima-Jah has been replaced with AIG William Fayea Sellu who as  Regional Police Commander South.

Unconfirmed sources state that AIG Braima was viewed as being in the habit of detaining SLPP loyalists when they are in conflict with the law.

Another allegation says that Braima Jah was eyeing the position Inspector General (IG) to succeed Dr Ambrose Sovula when he turns 60 years, which did not go down well with the Police Chief.

Yet another source says that the Paramount Chiefs in Kailahun recently presented AIG Braima Jah to President Bio,  when he visited Kailahun to hand over staffs to Kailahun Paramount Chiefs.

An aide to Braima Jah told this press that at no point in time Braima had thought of replacing the IG as he believes that power comes from God.

“At no point in time Braima Jah has tried to undermine his boss to become Inspector General of Police” said the aide. AIG Braima Jah could not be contacted for his comments.

In a related development, AIG Mustapha Kamara has been moved from Director Community Affairs to Regional Police (North West), while AIG Sahr Y Senesie moved from Regional Police (North) to Community Affairs and AIG Edward Samandia moved from Regional Police (North West) to Regional Police (South).

Teddy F Kargbo is now the RHQ CID South as Mrs Mabel Fallah takes over as Deputy Regpol South.
