Catch of Arms and Ammunition Discovered!
Local Unit Commander of ‘D’ division, Superintendent Nepor Senesie disclosed to journalists at his Kissy Police office yesterday morning his operation team headed by ASP Daniel Bongoh have arrested one Mohamed Sheriff, of 26 Hamilton Street on Thursday May 20th 2010, who was in possession of a pistol and three bullets at the time of his arrest.
Superintendent Senesie further disclosed that the model of the pistol is CESKA ZBROJOVIKA A.S. VPRA ZE 5010376, KAL 7.65. He stated that Mohamed Sheriff is 41 years old, slim built, shaved head, ball eyes, dress in white long sleeve short red lips and black in complexion.
Mohamed Sheriff has made confessional statement to the police that he bought the weapon from Karina underlining that there are large quantities of it in Karina. The suspect told the police that he bought from one chief Sadika alias Bob Marley, a youth in Karina for Le 200,000 and was expecting to sell it for $250,000 but ran out of luck when he was apprehended by ASP Bongoh and his fast patrol team.
The suspect intimated the police that the weapon was for safe keeping to one Chukuwu Thomas of Thomas compound in Aberdeen who was to sell the pistol to a Lebanese who has not been named.
The suspect narrated that he is not an armed robber as he was only trying to do business in order for him to make money. He promised to help the police in recovering the weapons in Karina if only forgive him and make him a witness. The matter has been referred to Anti Robbery Investigation. This is not the first time ASP Bongoh has been arresting people with arms and ammunition for which the police is very proud of him. He is on record to have minimized Kissy and the environs. He has been applauded by the local policing partnership board at Kissy division for a job well done and deserves to be elevated because of his dedication to duty, firm focus uprightness and loyalty.
