Cafe Down Town CEO Promotes Banga Farm Community
On April 14th, 2019, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Café Down Town, Banga Farm, Western Rural District of Waterloo, Amadu Jalloh has promoted the community with a 75 KVA and 6 cylinder Generator to provide electricity to over 400 households.
The CEO made the declaration public during a community engagement which was organized by the Councilor for Ward 377 in Constituency 106, Mr. Mohamed Billa.
In his presentation, CEO of Café Down Town, Mr. Amadu Jalloh who was the guest speaker told Banga Farm residents to respect their local authorities because according to him, the Councilor convinced him for the common good of the entire ward.
Mr. Jalloh said Café Down Town is determined to partner with any individual or company to enhance national development, increase economic activities, prevent crime rates and improve on security alertness especially at night.
Giving the purpose of the gathering, Councilor Mohamed B. Kanu said the meeting was to inform residents on current development with regards to security, light, water, health, education among other community services.
Mr .Mohamed B. Kanu disputed the fact that youths in his area of control are still facing unemployment challenges and vowed to give his best in accomplishing key projects for the benefit of all.
Mr .Kanu said this is his first meeting with the Banga Farm people since his inception into the position of councilor for ward 377, noting that he is much determine to serve his people and also advocate on their behalf.
“I succeeded to persuade Mr. Amadu Jalloh because of my lobbing skills and official approached for the benefit of ward 377 as local authority. The 75 KVA machine is for Banga Farm community through the help of Café Down Town CEO.I invite Mr. Jalloh to witness the handing over of the 75 KVA machine as a way of appreciation and also to inspired or persuade government on basic amenities”, Councilor Billa Kanu affirmed.
He said the presence of the Headman of Banga Farm, youths and the Installation Team shows how committed the people of ward 377, adding that this is a clear demonstration that I am ready to transform the ward with quality service delivery.
Councilor Kanu spoke on the need to improve on access roads across his ward and that he is working very hard with the Waterloo Police Division in collaboration with village Headmen to strengthen the Community Safety Volunteers.
He said before now, he has been sponsoring most of the community activities with his own resources and that he has provided over 100 wheelbarrows and shovels for the purpose of sustaining sanitation and security.
Delivering his statement on behalf of Banga Farm Community, the Headman, Abdulai Olu Kamara expressed happiness to the CEO of Café Down Town for donating the 75 KVA machine to them adding that the gift came the time they needed the light in the area.
The local authority cautioned community people to be aware about the cost of operating a 75 KVA machine on a daily basis which he said needs total commitment and that the machine will not be totally free, but a minimal and affordable amount will be charged per household to take care of the operational cost.
He admonished community people to embrace the CEO as their own brother for the sake of development especially on youth employment for the village.
