Orange Launches 4G Service in Sierra Leone
As part of the continuation of its Digital Revolution which was launched on the 19th of February, 2019, Sierra Leone’s leading telecommunications company, Orange, will today, March 27th, 2019 officially launch its 4G LTE Services in Freetown.
In a press launch held yesterday, 26th March, 2019 at the company’s headquarters on Hill Station, Freetown, the CEO of Orange, Madam Aminata Kane, expressed delight over her company’s ability to deliver what she referred to as ‘D Real 4G’ services for its numerous customers in Sierra Leone.
She said that the company is in Sierra Leone with a long term project that will lead to significant investments to cover most of the population in the country with voice, digital and financial services. Since the arrival of Orange in Sierra Leone in 2016, she stated, the company has invested in excess of 55 million dollars on the modernization and expansion of its network which has led to the construction of 94 new sites across the country and the connection of 925 new localities with thousands of Sierra Leoneans now accessing data and voice services for the first time.
She maintained that customers can now enjoy quality telecommunications voice and data services from Orange’s network covering about 80% of the country and also benefit from the company’s unique product and services portfolio at affordable prices.
She further explained that the launch of the 4G will complement the launch of Orange Digital Revolution which saw the reduction of data prices by 50%. With this 4G, Madam Kane maintained, customers are very much assured of a truly high speed broadband mobile internet and unmatched life changing experience that puts digital communication completely within your control.
Though we are not the first to launch the 4G Service in the country, the CEO noted, we are very sure that ours is the best and real 4G and its guarantees mobility with superior speed which will surely keep subscribers informed and entertained and will also enable customers use Orange services better and more efficiently.
