Saint Anthony’s Father Carew Disgraces Catholic Mission

Magistrate Tonia Barnet of Court No. 2 on Pademba Road Magistrate Court has been applauded by the public for legally preventing a girlfriend, Yeamie Kargbo last Wednesday from burying a wedded husband, late Dalton Anthony Grant of the Saint Anthony’s Catholic Mission in Freetown.

Magistrate Barnet passed the said verdict last Wednesday, when she instructed that the girlfriend of the late man, Yeamie Kargbo has no right to bury the carcass or skeleton of the late Dalton Grant except the well documented and certified wedded wife, Mrs. Josephine Shola Bomie Grant.

At this stage, Father Carew from the Saint Anthony’s Catholic Mission in Freetown crazily met erudite Magistrate Tonia Barnett and threatened her that “You don mass me toe” which means you have stepped on my toes for sending a letter to the Catholic Church on Wednesday that the body should not be taking to the Church for burial or funeral ceremony which was supposed to take place last Thursday.

In that regard, Magistrate Tonia Barnett ordered the arrest of Father Carew who spent hours in the court cell until when a senior father who preferred to be anonymous from the same mission pleaded for mercy to Magistrate Tonia Barnett before he was released on bail condition.

According to Magistrate Barnett, she ordered the arrest of the ungodly man of God because during the 2018 Judiciary Sunday, he preached against divorce; it was the same Man of God that allowed a girlfriend to bury a wedded husband instead of the matrimonial wife.

Magistrate Tonia Barnett described the action of the Holy God Father as ungodly, disgrace to the Christianity religion and has the potential to bring division and bad heart in the House of God.

The girlfriend has stopped from, burying the deceased while the body is still at Mortuary awaiting befitting burial.

The family of the deceased says Kudos to Magistrate Tonia Barnett to work according to the will of God for lasting justice to prevail on earth.
