Alleged Clique Boys In Big Trouble
Around 20 youths, alleged to be members of various clique groups in the eastern part of the City were apprehended by personnel of the eastern police station.
According to source, the arrest and detention of the so called youths could not be unrelated to a tip off by the police that they planned a dastardly attack on opposing groups and other people living in that part of the city.
It was disclosed to Sierra Express Media, that the police acting on a tip off raided various hideouts of the so called leaders of the future, east of Freetown.
Source continued that during the raids, about 20 uncertain futures of the so called youths were arrested and subsequently detained at the eastern police station.
The arrested persons were said to be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Pademba Road in Freetown for further investigation. Most of the clique youths were arrested in the Fourah Bay Community.
A source in the police told tSEM that this time, it will not be business as usual when orders from above will give instructions to police or court to drop the matter with financial compensation to them by the state.
The clique boys have been profiled by the police and are due in court today.
It could be recalled that clique activities became so prevalent during the past All People’s Congress (APC) era. There were lot of stabbing and commission of other heinous crimes.
What amazed innocent and armless citizen was that these clique boys at the end of the day being compensated by the government.
