Nigerian Cocaine Importer Refused Bail

A Nigerian national, Cyprian Anayo Ndefo on Wednesday 22nd August 2018 made his second appearance but refused bail and relocated to the Correctional Services on three count charges ranging from conspiracy to commit an offence to wit importation of a prohibited drug to wit cocaine contrary to section 15 of the National Drug Control Act 2008.

The accused on Sunday 5th August 2018 at the Freetown International Airport conspired with other persons unknown to import cocaine from Brazil to Sierra Leone.

It was alleged that the accused on the date above at Lungi International Airport, imported 35 pellets of cocaine weighing 0.6 kilogram in to Sierra Leone through KLM Royal Dutch Airline without lawful authority.

The matter is prosecuted by I. Kanneh and adjourned to August 29th this year.
