CFSL Trains FBC Students & Journalists

A non-profit making organization, Code For Sierra Leone (CFSL) has completed a day training session for Fourah Bay College (FBC) students and Journalists as paradigms shift on creating value for self-esteem.

The interactive session was held at the organization’s head office on 5 Foday Drive, Hill Station in Freetown on 2nd June 2018.

In her welcome address, the Senior Facilitator of CFSL, Avril Pratt told participants to feel free because according to her the session is to have a face to face chart with young people adding that the training aimed to raising awareness on the need for youth to be productive than being an empty vessel or uncreative in society.

Madam Pratt extended profound gratitude to participants for attending the event.

Madam Pratt said, CFSL will continue to not only engage young minds through WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, but constant engagement on mindset philosophy.

In his power-point presentation, the Guest Speaker, Fayia Boima informed participants about the previous training program in which participants participated positively and created momentum in print, electronic and Social Media.

He encouraged participants to reposition their minds either with the new technology or in any capacity to attained basic education with effort oriented value.

Mr. Boima admonished participants to always concentrate on reading to abreast with latest happenings around the globe and mentioned that Sierra Leone as a country is going through political, scientific social, moral and religious change.

He noted that, if young people do not create the value needed to prosper in life, they will remain an empty vessel without anything adding that the value you create for yourself connects you with productive people around the world.

He appealed to Students and Journalists to propagate the message to their various communities for more alertness on the need for young people to improve on their knowledge with countless effort.

He cautioned young people to believe in themselves and emphasized that no one is useless in the course of life because according to him, we are all useful people in society.

Mr. Boima entreated participants to always be in the positive side of life and disclosed that there are generic secret to success with focus mindset.

He ended by stating that positive progress is determined by hard work with value oriented format.
