Violence May Wreck SLPP
Competent Sierra Leoneans have predicted that the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) may lose the 2023 Presidential election if they delay to resolve the spate of violence across the country that has caused an untold suffering to our Sierra Leonean brothers and sisters.
The public is amazed over the uncontrollable victimization against ourselves in some parts of the country. Report stated that, recently, the All Peoples Congress (APC) party office at Taima in Moyamba District was completely burnt down to ashes.
Umaru Fofanah also reported on BBC that closed to two thousand people has fled their homes from Kono for fear of losing their lives from the hands of wicked people.
In Freetown, SLPP supporters attempted to burn down the APC office but couldn’t succeed as a result of the stiff resistance from supporters of the APC party.
All this alterations will motivate Sierra Leoneans to lose confidence in the leadership of the SLPP because security of the state is very paramount.
It is clear that the then ruling APC met it downfall because citizens became annoyed with them as a result of the way and manner they were handling the state affairs.
Therefore, SLPP should be careful so that they may not be shown the exit door earlier for the fact that Sierra Leoneans are very much concerned about their security and safety than even food and education which the current Government has targeted to improve.
Concerned citizens are thefore calling on the die-hard supporters of the SLPP to put all differences aside and work towards winning the 2023 Presidential election or else the APC will strategize to remove them from governance.
