C4C presidential candidate & running mate visitsTombo, other communities
The former elected Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Alhaji Chief Samuel Sam Sumana and running mate, David Bai Conteh, a former Member of Parliament have visited the Tombo, Rokel, and Waterloo communities in the Western Rural District.
Speaking to thousands of his supporters, the Presidential candidate for the Coalition for Change (C4C), Alhaji Chief Samuel Sam Sumana and described himself as not strange among the Tombo community people and pray for God to grant him the answer we need as a nation to take the country.
He expressed thankfulness to the people for bestowed him honor and stated that the country belongs to all of us and the power belongs to you the people. The constitution is the law that governed us all in the country.
With all the minerals God gives us the people of this country remain poor and maintained that we are suffering as a nation because of bad leadership adding that the people elected him and President twice and claimed that since 2012, no development as a result of greed.
He said his father was an APC and called on the two old political parties to retire and allowed a change for positive direction, for the women, youths and for the entire Sierra Leoneans.
He said God bless us as a nation but we are looking Chinese people taking our fishes away. In 2009, over two hundred billion dollars’ worth were lost to the Chinese.
He said the C4C is aiming at putting the country first adding President Koroma who supposed to guide the constitution violated the constitution by sacking him as the Vice President.
He said the people of this country have saying no to corruption, tribalism and regionalism and stated that it is better for the nation to happy than a single man. He described the Ebola case that lead him to be quarantined was false adding that he took his case to the ECOWAS and won the Government.
“I will fight to the last to defend the national constitution”, said the former Vice President adding that we have started a very difficult journey to bring change as done by our sister Liberia and Sierra Leone is not an exception.
He condemned the Toll Road initiative with the motive that the twenty seven years old contract needed to be reviewed. It is wrong to start collecting money from people without completing the construction exercise.
“We will make sure that electricity, water supply education is affordable for all”, said the hopeful President and described education as the key to success and urged listeners that the time has come for change.
He said he is the most experience Presidential candidate among all flag bearer adding that he served President Koroma for four hundred 47 days.
David Bai Conteh, Running mate from Gbonkolenken Chiefdom stated with the slogan ‘see for me ar see for you’ and saluted the gathering and interpreted the meaning of the APC slogan Owai Osai as standing for suffering and punishment.
We are going to take over this country to a place it supposed to be and appealed to the indigenes of Gbonkolenken to look for the face of Sam Sumana’s at the polling station during pooling day.
It is only the C4C political party that has the potential and strength to compete with the APC and SLPP.
