As Hon. Martin Bangura Kicked Out Dr. MM Kalokoh Takes Over
Constituents in Constituency 032 formerly Constituency 031 in Bombali District have breathed a sigh of relief as their call over the years to change former Hon. Martin Bangura who has been replaced by a season human right defender and administrator, Dr. MM Kaloko has been answered.
Sources disclosed that there was jubilation everywhere in the said constituency for the fact that electorates believed Dr. Kalokoh will be in position to contribute in the well of Parliament because he is not only an educationist but also a Civil Society activist with wealth of experience in the country’s political system.
Information from the interior confirmed that the then Member of Parliament was boastful that he was going to be awarded the symbol but he was shocked and surprised when Dr. Kalokoh was announced winner of the contest.
What was most painful according to indigenes in that part of the country was that, Mr. Bangura was not contributing to debates in Parliament because he was not competent enough to do such except to be seconding motions moved by erudite colleagues.
Dr. Kaloko is a former Director and founding member of the Civil Society Movement Sierra Leone (CSM-SL) on Goderich Street in Freetown and has played great role in fostering peace nationwide.
Dr. Kaloko is taking to high esteem among his admirers because he is living a common life, loyal and always stands to defend rights of the oppressed through his oratory skills.
Constituents therefore expressed hope that Dr. Kaloko will bring change and development because he never worked in isolation but always works in consultation with his subordinates to actualize the desired result.
Responding to a brief interview after acquiring the symbol, Dr. Kaloko thanked party stakeholders for bestowing confidence in him and appealed to the All Peoples Congress (APC) supporters in Bombali to vote for him come March 7th 2018 elections so that he can make a quality representation.
He said the party has made no mistake for given him the symbol because he has all what it takes to make him a better legislator and concluded by stressing that he will use his expertise to attract development in his area of command if elected.
