Court Action Looms as APC Minister Denies Owing Businesswoman Le11M

Speaking to Sierra Express Media in an exclusive interview to respond on accusation, the Deputy Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Khadija O Sesay did not only deny owing Mariama Sheriff Leigh the huge sum of Le11.67 million but also surprisingly told her to take legal or court action if she felt aggrieved.

Explaining in tears to Journalists in Freetown, Mariama Sheriff Leigh who is a resident of Waterloo and also a strong member of the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) party said she came to know the Deputy Minister during the 2012 elections campaign.

She stated that in the last Bumbuna Bye-election she trusted loaf bread, seventy bundles of water, assorted food provisions, shoes, Mini Mart and clothing materials to facilitate the said election with the motive to pay the money even before, during or after election but afterwards, she did not pay the said millions of Leones.

“I feel shame and disgrace for a Government authority attempting to dupe a poor businesswoman like myself”, said the disappointed APC woman and she described the Deputy Minister as one of the fraudsters that are giving the APC Government bad name.

She therefore calling on APC and Government authorities to intervene so that she could retrieve her money or else she will take the matter to Court and die behind her labor as demanded by the accused.
