Koidu Holdings crocodile tears
Koidu Holdings has yet to compensate victims of police shootings and now they are spending money on a mortuary for the military, even though there is no mortuary for the Koidu Government hospital, where their victims rotted under a makeshift shed, no thanks to Hon. Contractor Tommy.
The people of Sierra Leone are still waiting for the reaction of the Government following the unprovoked shooting of peaceful demonstrators demanding for their rights in Sokogbe, Koidu Town.
The APC government has to answer to the people but President Ernest Bai Koroma has been strangely silent over the issue, instead when the head of state went to Kono, (his only visit since occupying the presidency), he had nothing substantial to tell the people except to say that a left over tailing be released to the people.
Can the APC convince the people of Kono that they are serious about confronting the problems facing the district? Certainly a no.
Koidu Holdings cannot convince the people of their sincerity and neither can President Koroma.
The recently appointed administrative officer and PRO of Koidu Holdings, a man who was appointed not by merit but through political connections has nothing to tell the people and neither does he have the time. Life is bleak for the people back in Kono, but the only help Koidu Holdings is given the people is to throw their lung destructive dust on the roads. This is their version of development in Kono.
