APC Councilor and Headmen In Court For Murder
The All Peoples Congress (APC) Councilor in the western Rural District in Waterloo, Ajibu Sawaneh, together with two headmen, James Harding and Sonny Coker were on Wednesday July 26th 2017, arraigned before Magistrate Albert Moody of Court No.1 at the Siaka Stevens street Magistrate Court to answer to six count charges of alleged, Murder, Conspiracy, Kidnapping and False imprisonment, Wounding, Wounding with intent, Riotous conduct, and Carrying offensive weapons.
All three accused were charged on four related counts of Murder and six related counts of kidnapping contrary to law.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused persons on 22nd of April 2017, at Matini village waterloo Freetown, conspired together with unknown persons to murder James Sesay, Pa Sembu Koroma, Alie Conteh and Fatha Turay.
It was further alleged on the count of kidnapping that the accused on the said date unlawfully took and carried away the said victims.
It was alleged that on the same place and date the accused persons falsely imprisoned the victims, wounded them and also behave in a riotous manner at Matini village waterloo in which they were carrying offensive weapons without lawful Authority.
The accused were therefore refused bail and remanded at both the Female and Male Correctional Centers while the matter was adjourned to the 1st of August 2017 for further hearing.
