Ahead of 2018 Parliamentary Elections, Another Gendemeh Arise for Con 14.
Residents of Constituency 14 in Kenema District, Malegohun and Part of lower Bambara chiefdoms has made a strong call to the Leadership of the All People Congress to Consider Awarding the party parliamentary Symbol to Umaru Kulagbanda Gendemeh, who they Considered as the only trust worthy son of the Soil that will represent them in parliament, due to his relentless effort in promoting development in their constituency. This call was made by numerous of Speakers at the official launching ceremony of the Youth for Peace and Development organization (YPD) on the 5th May 2017 at Konjo- Njagor Section, Malegohun Chiefdom.
Speaking to this Press, the Chairman of Youth for Peace and Development, Mr. Prince Kallon noted that for the past fifteen years their constituency can boast of no development, he noted that Education, Good Roads and Health have nothing to write good home about, he further disclosed that many politicians has failed them, that was why they mobilized as young people to help Mr. Gendemeh clinch the seat, because he is the only hope of their constituency, he is a son of the soil and he is aware of all of their problems and he have the key to tackle those problem.
He noted that this time around they will not vote for color but they will vote for someone that they believed in, someone that will meet their hopes and aspirations, he however called on Leadership of the Party to Award the parliamentary symbol to Gendemeh.
Whilst responding to call of the Young People at the event, the Chairman of All People Congress, Constituency 14, Samuel Gendemeh describe Mr. Umaru Gendemeh as a developmentally oriented man, he noted that Mr. Gendemeh has successfully implemented a lot of programs that are in line with the President’s Agenda for Posterity in the constituency, especially in the area of Youth Development, Education and Health, he disclosed that with Gendemeh as Parliamentary Candidate of the APC is a easy win for the Party, he however pledged his total support towards the Call of the Young People in the Constituency.
Umaru Kulagbanda Gendemeh is the youngest brother of the late James Gendemeh, who was a senior party stalwart of the All People Congress and also Resident Minister East, he is a graduate of the Red River College, Winnipeg and University of Manitoba (UoFM), Canada in nursing and Human Resources. Mr. Gendemeh who returned home recently with some youth developmental projects in constituency 14, had been living in Canada with his family for about two decades.
