APC Aspirant Entertains Constituents on Easter
Popular APC Parliamentary aspirant in constituency 114, Calaba/Wellington, Dr. Umpha Sorie G. Koroma and Friends past Easter Monday joined members of the Masquerade devil, ‘Sea Marble’ in Calaba Town to celebrate this year’s Easter celebrations.
Dr. Koroma was reported to have spent millions of Leones to support the Masquerade devil to participate in this year’s Easter day celebrations. He was also seen in the midst of fans and followers of the Masquerade devil rejoicing and dancing to the admiration of the people.
At Old Wharf junction, Wellington/ Calaba Town, Dr Koroma was heard encouraging Sierra Leoneans not to abandon their culture, noting that culture is key in enhancing the socio- economic development of the country.
Some stakeholders interviewed in constituency 114 praised the Parliamentary aspirant for his endeavour in sponsoring the event and assured of their unflinching support during the polls.
The APC aspirant and Friends also recently concluded voter’s registration sensitization funded by the aspirant in his constituency 114 during which period he urged the people to come out and register.
In an interview with Dr. Koroma on the spot, informed this medium that plans are underway to organize an outing for all his supporters to the beach, adding the outing is just the introduction of the many activities he slated before elections next year.
Dr. Koroma informed that he has undertaken several developments in Calaba Town citing as example, the Police post that is still under construction, provision of water wells in respective areas in his community and awarding scholarships to deserving pupils.
He said, although he was not fortunate when he contested for the APC symbol and lost to Hon Alhassan Kamara but that did not warrant him to defect to any political patty but instead the party of his late Father. ‘’I supported food and other logistics to all the registration centers in my constituency in this ongoing voter registration exercise.’’ Dr. Koroma asserted.
An APC elder in Calaba town recalled that, Koroma is emulating his late forefathers in the Port Loko district. ‘’Even when he lost the symbol to Hon. Alhassan Kamara in constituency 96 in 2012, he called on all his supporters to vote his colleague.’’ He also recalled that, Dr. Koroma has been feeding Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan.
