Those visits provided Ambassador Stevens the opportunity to articulate priority areas such as the Bumbuna Hydro Electricity Project Phase Two, the Affordable Housing Scheme, Oil Palm and Sugar Production etc., for which the Government of Sierra Leone would require the assistance from the Italian Government and investors.

At one of the meetings, Ambassador Stevens held discussions with Palamara Group, an Italian company that has already signed an MOU with NASSIT with a view of establishing an affordable housing scheme. Palamara would also want to embark on oil palm production and would field a visit to Sierra Leone on the 17th May 2010, to put modalities in place for the commencement of their projects.
