Men for All Season donates to over 54 pupils
Men for All Season, an organization based in the Kissy Community whose members also belong to the Hennessey Church in the same community, recently donated assorted learning materials to over 54 pupils from ten different schools the community.
The assorted learning materials included exercise and text books, pens, pencils, school uniforms, bags among others.
Presenting the donation at the Hennessey Church ground, the Secretary General of Men for All Season, Mr. Ivon Victor Cummings, called on the beneficiaries to take their education seriously.
He also called on parents and guardians to invest in education for their children as they are the future leaders.
Mr. Cummings also admonished the children to use the donated items for the right purpose.
The Secretary General encouraged them to take their academic work serious to enable them continue enjoying the benefits from Men for All Season.
The President of the organization, Mr. Robert Webber, maintained that it was not their first time to donate to children in the Kissy Community.
He disclosed that they source out funds through contributions from the general membership of their organization, and also from their thanksgiving celebrations in church.
The President added that the donation was not done by sentiment but to look out for the less privileged children whose parents or guardians cannot afford for them.
Mr. Webber said they are undertaking the task in order to develop their community and the young generation, adding that their aims and objectives are geared towards developing the children by supporting them so that it would reflect positively on the Kissy Community.
He said they have planned to extend the same gesture to both university and tertiary students whose parents too find it extremely difficult to support them.
The President used the forum to call on interested individuals and organizations to come to their aid for the furtherance of development in the community.
Speaking on behalf of the parents, Ms. Irene Brown expressed her gratitude to Men for All Season for taking the bold step to support the less privileged children in the community.
She admonished the parents to focus on their children and not to allow them pay more attention to watching films but to always be with their books.
The Chairman of the ceremony, Pastor Issa Bangura of Church of God of Prophesy, lauded the organization for taking such innovative venture.
The man of God encouraged the community people to always support Men for All Season when celebrating their thanksgiving service as it is from that money they are promoting the community children.
The beneficiary schools included UMC Urban Centre Primary, UBC Primary, Baptist Primary, Kissy Infant Primary, Federation Islamic Primary, and the National Pentecostal Church Primary School.
The singing of the national anthem by the beneficiaries climaxed the occasion as a sign of gratitude to Men of All Season.
