FORMER SOCIAL WELFARE MINISTER LAUDS PRESIDENT KOROMA

Former Social Welfare minister Moijue Kaikai (in photo) has heaped uncountable praises for  President Ernest Bai Koroma for his continued interest in promoting Pujehun district. He pointed categorically at the following unprecedented interventions:

  • The appointment of Sidi Yayah Tunis as Minister of Tourism
  • The construction of roads from Bandajuma to Pujehun Gbondapi;  Bo to Jendema (Liberia border)
  • The fight against Ebola
  • The recruitment of qualified teachers
  • Agriculture investment
  • Youth empowerment through fishing.

The former minister made this statement last weekend in Pujehun town whilst making a cash donation of Le 7m to the Pujehun District Football Association. The Le 7m is part of a Le 10m pledge by the former minister.

Moijue is well known for his goodwill interventions cut across. As a minister then, he had time for everybody, be it Jew or Gentile.

“It is not only when as Minister that I have to help and be with my people. With or without appointment, I will always be with my people. President Koroma has taught me that”, Moijue retorted.

He stressed on the opportunity accorded him by President Koroma to serve Sierra Leone. He is thankful that President Koroma has done so much for Pujehun than any other president in our political history.

Receiving the money and responding to the minister, the Chairman of the Pujehun District football association, Mr Ibrahim Jalloh thanked the former minister whom he described as one who delivers, whatever he promised. Mr Jalloh recalled that this is not the first time Moijue has done similar interventions. Early last year, he gave out money and complete sets of jerseys to various sections in the district. On behalf of the Football Association, he assured the minister that the money will be used for its rightful purpose.
