Usman Boie Kamara to jet into Sierra Leone today!
The ruling All People’s Congress (APC) political heavyweight, Hon. Usman Boie Kamara (in photo), who is Minister of Trade and Industry, will jet into Freetown today after him having spent several months abroad on medical leave, Sierra Express Media can authoritatively reveal.
Sources in London where the Minister of Trade and Industry was on medical leave for several months, say he is fully recuperated and charged with renewed energy to serve the state.
It could be recalled that a few weeks after Mr. Boie Kamara left the country on medical leave, there were many speculations that he had been paralyzed, whilst others said one of his feet had been amputated at a clinic in London.
“All the speculations people made about the health condition of Mr. Usman Boie Kamara were untrue,” one of the sources in London said, adding that, “The Minister is physically fit to resume office to serve in the Government of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.
Since his defection to the governing APC together with thousands of his loyalists from the main opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in 2011, Mr. Usman Boie Kamara has become the darling of most party stalwart and supporters because of his passion for assisting many of them and other vulnerable Sierra Leoneans.
His penchant for development, promotion of businesswomen, youth activities, and his assiduity as Government Minister has made the popular politician an icon in the Koroma administration and the APC party.
Some party supporters that whispered to this medium about the arrival of Hon. Usman Boie Kamara from London United Kingdom today said they will storm Lungi International Airport to welcome him back home.
One of the supporters, Madam Mabinty Kamara, said: “Usman Boie Kamara is one of the most trusted Ministers in our Government and that was the paramount reason why President Koroma did not appoint anybody to fill his vacant position in the Trade Ministry.”
Madam Mariatu Sesay, who sells at the Wellington market, said:”Once Usman Boie Kamara returns home hail and health, I am convinced that the new market project in Wellington, which has come to a standstill since he went on medical leave, will recommence because he is the brainchild of that project. “
